Latest Release! NetObjects Fusion!

V3.11.0

Florida in October

Unlike many parts of the country, schools in Central Kentucky have a 1 week long fall break.  You know, like Spring Break, except in the fall!  So we decided to make a trip of it.

For this break, we decided to return to Florida and visit family.  We had a great time!  We saw (in order of appearance) Grandma Suzy, Grandpa Bill, Aunt Athena and Uncle Robbie, cousins Will and Devon, Uncle Randy (Well sort of!), Aunt Sally and Uncle Bob, and Granda Sims.

The trip down was great.  It took 14 hours to drive, but we had two fun picnics on the way down.  The rest area on I40 in the mountains of SC was beautiful.  Where the picnic area was, you wouldn’t believe this was not a park but a rest area.  The boy’s were simply great!

We stayed for a few days at Amit’s Rodeway Inn on Daytona Beach.  It’s simple but a great place to stay right on the beach!  Brian,   who manages it, and his girlfriend, Kristen are great people.  We love it there, it’s just like home.  The weather was windy and the surf was rough.  Seaweed everywhere!  We enjoy it’s location, on the beach and 2 blocks from Lisa’s parents house.  We frequently walked from the hotel to visit Bill and Suzy.  That’s convenience.

We also stayed with Sally and Bob up in Palm Coast.  Again, we had fun.  We took Sally to one of our favorite haunts, the Beachcomber Restaurant on St, Augustine Beach.  She liked it so much that in return she took us the the St. Augustine Alligator Farm.  OK, it didn’t really happen like that but we visited both.    We also had dinner at JT’s Seafood Shack on A1A in Palm Coast.  That was my first time and the food was pretty good.  I would go back and I highly recommend the nightly specials.

Overall, we had a great time and regretted having to leave.  We know we will return, though!  That said, we have too many pictures to put on one slide show so I separated them into two.  I have general pictures of the trip and one for the St. Augustine Alligator Farm.

Go check them out!
